Adam + Kirsty

February 9th, 2015

Welcome 2015!  Nice to have you here.  I’m not sure about you guys but the old month of January just clear whizzed me by.  One minute I was celebrating the first day and the next I am in February.  It happens to me every year but I am still befuddled about why that is???  I won’t go into all of my new year’s resolutions because, frankly, I don’t want to bore you TO DEATH (Hello!!!  Lose weight, get fit, eat better, drink more water!!!!), but I will say this – I aim to blog more.  Like a whole lot more.  I started this blog a while ago and talked about so many other things besides weddings which I really liked doing, and I hope you really liked reading.  So I thought I might do that again.  We can get together a couple of times a week, with a cup of coffee in hand, and talk about life, love, nail polish colours, how embarrassing Johnny Depp has become, fashion, hairstyles, you name it!  I want you to tell me about what new trend you are keen on trying, what new recipe you love, and how that wedding planning is going.  Let’s huddle up ladies, kick our shoes off, and get chatting!  This of course does not really segue into today’s wedding except there is a whole lotta love, and a whole lotta style.  Kirsty and Adam were married late last year at the fabulous Yandina Station.  If anyone is in the beginning stages of planning their wedding and is still looking for a wonderful, unique country/beach style wedding you can go no further than Yandina Station.  Give Sally and Neil a call – they are the most wonderful people and will totally help you turn your wedding dreams into a reality!  Kirsty wore a stunning raw silk dress by Ian Stuart, and her shoes were from Irregular Choice.  The amazing flowers were from Willow Bud.  Her stunning bridesmaids dresses were from Monsoon.  Hair was by Mia at Evalyn Parsons and makeup by Gorgeous Makeup and Beauty.  All of the amazing elements and styling throughout the day was by Kirsty herself, with some help from her mum of course!  Such a beautiful, fun-filled wedding day surrounded by close family and friends.  they danced the night away to Greg Doney under the twinkling fairly lights provided by Splash Events.  Congratulations Kirsty and Adam and thank you for choosing us to come along for your big adventure!

Christie + Kristian

November 26th, 2014

So it’s almost Christmas.  Like seriously – I think it is about 30 days until Santa-time and, I’m not sure about you, but I have done nothing.  Well almost nothing – I did manage to order the turkey which almost killed me!  My butcher’s order form is a study in how NOT to design an order form.  Would it be rude to design one myself and give it to him on a USB for next year?  One could consider that a gift, couldn’t they?!  Normally I’m all over Christmas but this year I haven’t been hit by the bug.  Maybe it will happen and I’ll be carolling around the halls soon enough but until that time, just call me a Christmas humbug.  One thing I’m totally excited about though is some much needed beach time – I have a stack of books I collect throughout the year that sits waiting for our holidays to come.  Nothing better than copping a squat on the sand, umbrella up, cooling sea breeze and 10 books you are dying to read.  Man oh, man – bring it on!  I am totally dreaming of that right now so I thought what a perfect time to blog Christie and Kristian’s wedding on the stunning Sunshine Coast.  So beautiful, so amazing, so totally want to be there right now.  Can you hear the waves????
